Originally, Cantina Architectura started out as an architectural gallery in 1985.
It soon became a meeting place for the Alkmaar poet’s society, reading clubs, painter clubs, interpreters, and political parties.
Catering for these events were provided by Cantina Architectura and so one thing led to the other.
A bed & breakfast was also started, which was frequented by participants of The Holland Music Session, The Holland Organ Festival, and walkers of the vogelpad migration route.
For many years, Cantina Architectura has been a sponsor of The Holland Music Session.
